We loved Idaho too. Found a great State Park where we ended up staying for 4 days. It was one of the areas in the U.S. with the least light pollution. The night time skies were unbelievable, especially for people from New England which probably has the most light pollution. We went off-roading in the jeep and yes, that's a coyote you see! 
This was the sunset from our campsite every night - do you see why we stayed so long?
